"A few months before he died, one of the nation’s most prominent rabbis, Yitzhak Kaduri, supposedly wrote the name of the Messiah on a small note which he requested would remain sealed until now (one year later). When the note was unsealed, it revealed what many have known for centuries: Yehoshua, or Yeshua (Jesus), is the Messiah."
Can you believe this wonderful news? One of Israel's most prominent Kabbalistic Rabbi priests wrote a cryptic note in which he revealed the name of the Jewish Messiah. When the rabbis' disciples opened his note, as he had requested, they read a standard Kabbalistic code which, when translated, named Jesus is Israel's Messiah!

"With the biblical name of Jesus, the Rabbi and kabbalist described the Messiah using six words and hinting that the initial letters form the name of the Messiah. The secret note said:
'Concerning the letter abbreviation of the Messiah’s name, He will lift the people and prove that his word and law are valid.
This I have signed in the month of mercy,
Yitzhak Kaduri'
"The Hebrew sentence (translated above in bold) with the hidden name of the Messiah reads: Yarim Ha’Am Veyokhiakh Shedvaro Vetorato Omdim' "
"The initials spell the Hebrew name of Jesus, Yehoshua. Yehoshua and Yeshua are effectively the same name, derived from the same Hebrew root of the word 'salvation' as documented in Zechariah 6:11 and Ezra 3:2. The same priest writes in Ezra, 'Yeshua son of Yozadak' while writing in Zechariah 'Yehoshua son of Yohozadak'. The priest adds the holy abbreviation of God’s name, ho, in the father’s name Yozadak and in the name Yeshua."
How did Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri reach the point when he knew Jesus was Israel's Messiah? Jesus said that the Hebraic Scriptures (Old Testament) testified of Him; indeed, some Bible scholars maintain that some reference to the coming Messiah can be found in every book in the Old Testament. All one has to do is to study the Old Testament writings with a heart and mind open to acknowledging the truth. With this thought in mind, let us review a specific portion of this news story:
"Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri was known for his photographic memory and his memorization of the Bible, the Talmud, Rashi and other Jewish writings..."
Perhaps the Holy Spirit spoke to him through Isaiah 53 or through the precise mathematics of the coming of the Messiah at the end of the 69 Weeks of Years (Daniel 9:24-27). Whichever Scripture(s) the Holy Spirit chose to use to reveal the Truth of Jesus Christ to this Rabbi is irrelevant. The fact of the matter is clear: a most prominent Kabbalistic Rabbi -- revered by hundreds of thousands of Jews -- has now publicly proclaimed Jesus to be the Jewish Messiah.
This very elderly priest chose a very special time to announce that he knew who Messiah was!
"A few months before Kaduri died at the age of 108, he surprised his followers when he told them that he met the Messiah. Kaduri gave a message in his synagogue on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, teaching how to recognize the Messiah ... His spiritual portrayals of the Messiah—reminiscent of New Testament accounts—were published on the websites Kaduri.net and Nfc ... 'When he comes, the Messiah will rescue Jerusalem from foreign religions that want to rule the city', Kaduri once said ... His reign will be pure and without personal or political desire. During his dominion, only righteousness and truth will reign."
Not surprisingly, Kabbalistic and Orthodox Jewish leaders were so incredulous as to be beside themselves! This most trusted leader had, in their eyes, betrayed the entire movement. His son even tried to claim that the note was not in his father's handwriting. Christians were jubilant, viewing this remarkable turn of events in a prophetic way. Does the conversion of this prominent Kabbalist Rabbi mean that the Holy Spirit is about to move amongst Israel in a mighty way?
Are these prophecies about to be fulfilled?
"And afterward I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Even upon the menservants and upon the maidservants in those days will I pour out My Spirit." (Joel 2:28-29; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary)
"And then I heard how many were sealed (marked) out of every tribe of the sons of Israel: there were 144,000." (Revelation 7:4; Ibid.)
With all my heart, I believe that the Holy Spirit is about to pour out upon those people in Israel to whom God is about to reveal Himself and His Son, Jesus. These 144,000 evangelists are going to vigorously preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those in Israel and throughout the world during the first half of the Tribulation Period. If the world is as close to the appearance of Antichrist as we believe, now might be the proper time for the Holy Spirit to begin His prophesied pouring out upon Israel. This process of bringing the 144,000 Jewish evangelists to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ might take some years to fully accomplish -- all in God's correct timing.

Lesbian Activist Set Free in Christ
A prominent homosexual activist has become a Christian, Baptist Press reports. Charlene E. Cothran has also become an evangelist pointing homosexuals to a way out of their aberrant lifestyles. Thus far, mainstream media has ignored the story, which is notable considering the firestorm that would likely result if a prominent evangelical personality abandoned Christianity for a homosexual lifestyle. Cothran has been a prominent homosexual activist and publisher and editor-in-chief of the black homosexual-oriented publication “Venus Magazine.” Her recent announcement came in the form of a cover article in the February issue of “Venus” titled “Redeemed! 10 Ways to Get Out of the Gay Life, If You Want Out.” Cothran indicated that her new message is the Gospel of Jesus Christ and her “new mission is to encourage, educate and assist those in the life [homosexuality] who want change but can’t find a way out.”

Four More Imams Are Underground Believers
WOODLAND HILLS, CA -- One of the top Islamic leaders in Iran accepted Christ and left the country after facing death threats and imprisonment, according to an Iranian pastor living in the U.S.
“This man has been watching Christian TV programs for the past two years,” said Pastor Elnathan Baghestani, founder of Iran for Christ Ministries. Pastor Baghestani and his wife provide Christian programming to the Mohabat Network satellite, which broadcasts 24/7 into Iran and other Middle Eastern countries.
The imam called one of the phone counselors connected to Iran for Christ Ministries and prayed to receive Christ in early February. “The man has been watching Christian TV programs for the past two years,” Baghestani said. “He said he has believed since he began watching the programs but his salvation was sealed through his confession.”
“This man knows all the verses of the Qur’an by heart,” he added. “After he began watching, doubt began in his heart about the Islamic faith.” The man spent nine months in prison after he questioned the violence of radical Islam. Following his release from prison, he faced numerous death threats and escaped the country.
Several other religious leaders may follow suit. “He knows four other high-ranking imams that are in the same condition and want to leave Iran,” Baghestani said.
While it is illegal to own satellite dishes in Iran, many hide them on their roofs or other locations on their property. “They arrest people for having satellite dishes because they know the Christian programming is effective,” Baghestani noted.
The imam who fled left everything behind. “His salary was 700,000 of their monetary units every month,” Baghestani said. “He was honored and respected, but when the gospel came to him he lost everything,” he noted. “Now he is a poor refugee in a foreign country.”
“God is shaking the foundation of Islam in Iran,” Baghestani said. “We have been praying for some of the main government officials to come to Christ and God is answering us,” he reports. “I pray God will open more doors for us to send the gospel to the Middle East.”

Prominent Same-Gender Activist Walks Away From Former Lifestyle to Embrace Christ

LifeSiteNews reports that due to the inspiration of a pastor who counseled Charlene Cothran (a prominent black lesbian in the forefront of the fight for equal rights for gays and lesbians, and publisher of a successful magazine geared to black homosexuals) to use her gifts for Christ, Cothran has left her homosexual lifestyle and is making it her mission to offer help to other homosexuals who want to do the same.
Cothran said, "I must come out of the closet again. I have recently experienced the power of change that came over me once I completely surrendered to the teachings of Jesus Christ."
Notes reporter Meg Jalsevac: Cothran offered hope to her "gay and lesbian brothers and sisters who want real peace" saying, "It is simpler than you think to acquire [real peace] and there is no condemnation once you've entered it. Jesus will cleanse and forgive all confessed sin from a willing heart. Homosexuality is only one of them. It is no greater sin than any of the others, but it is sin."
Since then, Cothran has changed her VENUS website mission statement to read: "The new mission of Venus Magazine is to encourage, educate and assist those who desire to leave a life of homosexuality. Our ultimate mission is to win souls for Christ, and to do so by showing love to all God's people. We believe that homosexuality is outside of the will of God. We know that many new and longtime VENUS readers have been instilled with a belief system that is in line with this teaching but are still living 'in the life'. Many desire change and wonder if they can be accepted into the family of God 'just as they are'. The answer is YES! These readers will find the new Venus an anointed and refreshing tool for kingdom work."
Concludes Cothran: "I intend to be just as 'out' about my transformation as I was about my lesbian life."

Here in Detroit, we recently saw a chief gang leader come to the Lord and get filled with the Holy Ghost.
He was sent last week to our preaching spot to "spy us out" and ended up getting hit with the Spirit of God and repented of all of his sin and gave his life to Jesus.
Well, he has been doing AWESOME, he's got a definite anointing on him now, with the gift of word of knowledge (he can supernaturally quote all kinds of Scripture that he's never known).
Tomorrow, he is planning on bringing out a crew from one of Detroit's gangs to hear us preach and consider what we say. There is a very good chance they may come to the Lord. He is able to gather groups of gang members that we cannot.
PLEASE LIFT THIS up in PRAYER!!! PRAY for the CONVICTION OF THE HOLY GHOST TO GO FORTH and for a MIGHTY ANOINTING to be PRESENT WITH US!!!
Update - Update:
I received a voice mail this morning from the leader and he did NOT sound good. He said that there was a big gang fight last night and it sounds like he got beat down pretty bad for deciding to follow Jesus. He sounded like he was really hurting, but he said he is staying strong lifting up "the blood stained banner of Jesus as a good soldier and warrior of the cross" He asked for prayer. I assume the altercation was with the militant Muslim gang called Allahu Akbar. Please pray that God renders them powerless....
LAST UPDATE (-Sun night, ie. last night)
This whole original plan has been thrown for a big loop. Nothing has gone as planned...
The gang leader brother (we'll call him "Jack") came back with us to Patrick's place yesterday to hang out with us and spend the night. Everything was going awesome - eating, fellowshipping, talking about the things of God. We all got so fired up that we decided to head back down to the city to feed the homeless and preach the Word. "Jack" wanted us to stop by his park to scope things out, and when we got there, the police had the area taped off. There were two people dead. "Jack" got out, and ended up getting picked up by the police overnight for trying to go through to the crime scene.
"Jack" was waiting for us at the preaching spot today. The air was tense. There were some serious gangsters perched out round about the place with the orders to take out anybody that messed with us, and there were others as well that weren't on their side. It wasn't good at all to say the least. We left after about 10 minutes and "Jack" came with us.
After some discussion, we realized that the Enemy is trying to draw us into some gang war situations and ruin us, to make it short. It's pretty serious down there. Long story short, we laid it down for "Jack" that he has to count the cost and can't be affiliated with these gangsters and Christ at the same time. He said he's coming out for good, but not alone, he's bringing others with him.
Just now, Jack called us and we went down to meet him. He had a prostitute with him that wanted to "get out" and follow Jesus now, but there were some complications with her pimp as well making it hard to come out, so Jack is her protector, and he's torn between "turning the other cheek" and fighting to protect these ladies from their pimp gangs - PRAY! We picked them up, got the dear lady something to eat, and brought them back to the house and got her some clothes. The prostitute repented of her sin, and got an impartation of the Holy Ghost with the peace and joy of Christ - totally transformed. Patrick and them just left to drop them back off on the streets in Detroit.
Also, Jack's got a whole crew, I'm not sure, maybe about 13 or so people, that Patrick is going to preach to tomorrow down at a local mission center - at least that seems to be the plan right now. Jack wants him to preach the Word, lay it all down about following Christ and counting the cost, and pray for them all. It looks like the opportunity we've been waiting for.
The devil's been throwing his monkey wrench in this thing BIG TIME, but the Lord is going to work it all out for good. Oh, to see the hope and joy on that ex-prostitute's face about 15 minutes ago, it's priceless!!! PRAY PRAY PRAY for this WHOLE SITUATION!!!

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord,
The pastor of this church, Eugene Aissi, established in Quebec 26 years, is African. He has a vision for a mighty revival in this province. This sincere man, filled with spiritual and physical energy, has lead his sheep in the path of great spiritual liberty.
Every evening, approximately 60 Christian folk, mostly black, were in attendance.
Their heart-warming greeting was such that I loved them the very first night; the feeling was mutual. These folks who had suffered immensely in the past have learned to enter in the holy of holies and sup with the Lord. This series of meetings can not be considered an authentic evangelistic crusade but a crusade containing messages based on faith in order to strengthen and challenge these believers. Each evening the Lord gave me the appropriate words, a source of great blessings to one and all.
A young woman enslaved by drugs had an encounter with the Lord. Her boyfriend had called me earlier that afternoon, asking me to pray for her because she had left to meet friends with the sole purpose of inhaling these substances. I told him I was convinced that she would be in attendance that very evening. She did come with her mother and her boyfriend. All three were so touched by God that they danced like David of old when he stood before the ark of the Lord.
One evening, I gave an invitation, asking everyone willing to make a commitment before the Lord to testify to someone during the week of what God had done in their lives. At the conclusion of this appeal, a few hands were raised. Upon asking them to come forward to the alter, I was totally flabbergasted to see the entire church congregation come ! They had come to realize that the success of any church rests immensely on its members’ willingness to testify.
Each meeting ended with the manifestation of the power of God. A large number fell under the anointing, worshipping God, liberated from fear, determined more than ever to openly display a living and active faith.
On the final evening, a human chain was formed, initiated by my wife who is usually very shy and introvert. Everyone danced for joy before the Lord as they held each other’s hands.
That same night, upon pastor Aissi’s invitation, everyone came forward to thank me and greet me in a brotherly embrace. I told them : “This is only a good-bye. I realize how wonderful the day shall be when we all unite together to sing a melody resembling this universally known song : When the Saints go Marching In.”
Greetings, my dear brothers and sisters, in the name and the love of Jesus. I pray that the Lord showers His blessings on the ministry He has entrusted you with, and may His anointing dwell upon you.

(Nota: Heidi and Rolland Baker are an American missionary team whose ministry is concentrated mainly in Mozambique where they supervise over 7 000 churches while caring for over 2 000 orphans on a daily basis. They both possess doctorates in theology from King’s College located in the British Isles and have been called of God to minister to this world’s poorest among the poor. In the last few years, Heidi, through her ministry, has seen more miracles (the multiplication of food is just one example) and miraculous healings of blind, deaf and paralysed people than she can tabulate. Her book, currently being translated, should be on the market in early 2006. I am back in Africa after several weeks of seminaries held in the Western hemisphere only to find myself in a totally different setting of conferences. This one is a gathering of poor people, starved, bare-footed, in rags and battling diseases, coming from churches located in the center of Malawi . Carpets, air conditioning and chandeliers are conspicuously absent, in their places are whirlwinds of dust under a suffocating sun. Relaxation rooms and cafeterias have given way to iron pots in which corn gruel is cooked on an open wood fire. Fancy hotel rooms featuring soft, cosy beds and hot showers are replaced by hemp mats beneath plastic bag roofs, in an isolated field deprived of water or electricity or any kind of overnight protection. People huddle together for warmth. They are without soap, tooth brushes, or a change of clothing. Their shirts are worn down to sheer threads so that even the slightest movement make them tear. Their teeth, hair and skin are vivid reminders of the damage malnutrition can do. They are weak and they suffer. They need to be cared for and loved.
Malawi and the north-eastern part of Mozambique are regions still affected by drought and famine. Four million people are constantly in danger of perishing due to a lack of nutrition. The world hardly takes notice. Non-governmental supplies do not arrive in these isolated, out of the beaten path villages where the needs are the greatest and where most of our churches are located. But we have organized an “outback conference” in order to encourage our brothers and so, I have come to preach the Gospel to this human sea where needs are immeasurable.
It probably is the most pitiful conference ever being held. Our property is situated on the outskirts of the town of Lilongwe ; a few parishioners reside one day’s walk away. We own a shaky platform made of planks and poles which support suspended light bulbs in lanterns, fed by a generator in use during our services. We have no banners, no publicity boards, no dignitaries in two-piece suits, no car parking lot filled to overflowing, no tracts. Our clothes are covered with dust. We are a conglomerate of human beings in the middle of nowhere, in a place where destitution and despair reigns, crying out to God for revival and the glory of His presence. The preaching of the Gospel to the poor and the joy and love we bring to these troubled and burdened hearts remain our reason for living. We attempt introducing a foretaste of heaven to the most isolated and forgotten regions of the world. We come not with pomp and fanfare but, aware of our weaknesses, we only preach Jesus and Him crucified. The power of the cross alone is able to rescue and uphold these lives and hearts.
I am staggered in front of these people’s strength. Many years over, our hundred of churches in the Malawi countryside have persevered and grown in spite insurmountable poverty and trials. Our four leaders who supervise these churches are living examples of holy meekness in their patient long-suffering, uplifted by the joy of the Lord. They persevere, looking for a better tomorrow, exhorting hearts and minds wherever they go, even in regions where missionaries and strangers seldom venture.
During three days, we preached that nothing could ever separate us from the love of God, not famine, not poverty or any other thing or situation. Folks came forward in waves to kneel at the altar, to worship and receive a new measure of grace. The Holy Spirit healed bodies and souls. Tears flowed freely and emotions were liberated. Thirsty souls of all ages were filled with the fullness of God. He knows how to surround His beloved so that His love can be felt.
People are encouraged and joy overflows. Testimonies abound. I feel completely helpless and inadequate the more I become aware of their needs; however, my trust that the Good News will triumph in their lives deepens with every passing day.
God will open the hearts of His people everywhere in the world and give those who belong to Him an opportunity to learn the heavenly art of always loving more. Our one task is to love and if this love is sincere, it will also always be practical.
THE HEAVENS OPEN UP ON CABO DELGADO
Muslim leaders now admit that this province located in the north-west part of Mozambique , once considered impossible to reach, now lies in the hands of Christians. The growth of our base and of our missionary school on the largest plot of land available in the harbour town of Pemba aroused a lot of agitation. The Gospel, through the working of the Holy Spirit, penetrates entire villages.
Heidi receihealings in every one of her meetings. One day, she prayed for a lame and blind man who, however, was not immediately healed. She then told the village people to send a messenger her way as soon as the healing was complete. The very next day, as she found herself with a Muslim friend, an influential business man in town, a messenger out of breath knocked on the frame of their car. “He is healed ! He can walk and he can see !” This messenger had been running a total of seven hours to bring her the good tidings ! Full of awe and in tears, her Muslim friend told her : “Pray for me ! Pray for me now !”
A WORLD HUNGRY FOR GOD
Everywhere in the world, we observe a need for revival and a thorough manifestation of the Holy Sprit, especially where suffering, opposition and persecution abound. A flow of e-mails originating from all over Africa and Asia reaches us, begging us to bring our conferences in their areas. Heidi, our team and myself do whatever we can in the strength of the Lord, but I invite you to join us. The Lord of the harvest could reap it Himself by His power alone, but He chose to share His divine nature and His glory with us.
Enter with us in a world where love, peace and friendship are found even though we are assailed by evil on all sides. In Him, we are more than conquerors, protected by faith in the power of God till the moment when Jesus is fully revealed. We are ready to bring His glory in the darkness wherever there is a need for the love of God.
In addition to the nations located in South-West Africa, where we labour since 1995, Heidi and I are in the process of establishing ourselves as a ministry recognized and accepted by the Congo , Sudan , Sierra Leone and Indonesia governments. Angola , Liberia and numerous Northern Africa countries are next in line. Ministry-related contacts and pastors within these regions urge us to send them evangelistic teams, speakers and others with multiple talents can be put to practical use.
Our orphanage on the isle of Nias in Indonesia and the one in Bali continue to expand. That is where Heidi and I founded our ministry in 1980. These two establishments require a lot of attention. We are focusing prophetically on a Holy Spirit tsunami in Indonesia which would be a wonderful aftermath to the great revival this region experienced in the 1960s and 1970s.
In almost every region where we have started a ministry, the enemy created a lot of damage, but Christians, like heroes, have stood up well in spite the hardships encountered.
OPPOSITION DOUBLES !
Some people attending our conferences may get the impression that we live exquisite miracle and trial-free lives. We prefer seeing our ministry focused on Jesus and His glorious power, but be encouraged in knowing that, like the apostle Paul, we are only earthen vessels who glorify in their weaknesses (2 Cor. 12:10).
We encounter fierce demonic opposition whose intensity is almost incomprehensible. This province in Mozambique where we live has been a pagan occult fortress for centuries and the evil we relentlessly face never ceases to horrify us. Our time, our energy, our financial resources are attacked and stripped away because the devil longs to see our hearts drift from this great revival in which God has placed us.
Even though we can no longer personally answer e-mails, cards and letters, we are thankful towards you, owing a debt of love. The Lord answers the prayers of all who fervently intercede on our behalf. God’s people sensitively and generously meet our needs.
We are presently an outreach sending out messengers wherever people thirst after God and revival. The need for qualified pastors overwhelm us, and this includes administrators, technicians, and artists full of faith and initiative, burning with the passion of the Holy Spirit and full of love to overflowing.
We need support in the following areas : food, instructresses for the children, supplies to thwart famine, Bible schools, means of transportation, Bibles and literature, means of communication, diverse pieces of equipment, small bush planes, funds to pay local workers’ salaries, administrators to co-ordinate the missions, office equipment, building supplies, editing, etc.

BORN AGAIN
What religion has the fastest growth on
planet Earth ?
According to statistics and investigations made known to us by the media, that religion would be Islam.
According to the book MEGASHIFT, by Jim Rutz, it is the Evangelical, Biblical BORN AGAIN kind of Christianity which is presently sweeping China, Africa, India and South Asia.
The book’s author tells us that the evangelical movement is ignored because research and statistics rely on reports from traditional protestant churches and the Catholic church, while born-again evangelicals are not consulted.
Rutz tells us that this rapidly growing category of believers represents approximately 707 million disciples. This BORN AGAIN movement increases at a yearly rate of 8%. Despite opposition and unexpected slowdowns, the entire world, at this blossoming rate, will be Born Again by the year 2032.
According to Jim Rutz, there were twice as many evangelical Christians in the west compared to the east and other nations in 1960 but by the year 2000, the eastern evangelicals and others had surpassed those living in the west at a ratio of 4 to 1. By the year 2010 (in roughly 3 years) that ratio will increase to 7 to 1.
There are presently more missionaries sent out by non-Western nations than by Western nations.
This trend is unknown in the west because this ever GROWING EXPLOSION takes place elsewhere and not in our own back yard.
Hundreds of millions of these born-again Christians are not members of any established church. They meet in homes, in underground facilities, in caverns, in secret places as did their predecessors, the first Christians in the early church.
WHAT PRODUCES THIS MOVEMENT ?
As incredible as it may sound, MIRACLES PRODUCES IT !
Countless healings, powerful answers to sincere prayers uttered by this new category of believers, including hundreds of resurrections; not near death experiences but true authentic resurrections of deceased people.
We are impressed upon reading the Bible that 3000 souls were converted on the day of Pentecost. Rutz tells us that globally, this same scenario repeats itself every 25 minutes. Tomorrow, at this same time, as much as 175 000 more believers will have been added world wide.
Very few realize the nature of this change of lifestyle on the globe; it is A MIGHTY WORK OF GOD ON THIS EARTH. (In the last days, I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh - Joel).
We are witnessing an enormous transformation in the history of humanity.
A CHRISTIAN IN IRAN THREATENED EXECUTION FOR SHARING HIS FAITH IN CHRIST – MAI 2005.
Hamid Pourmand, an Iranian converted to Christ a few years ago, was brought to justice before a tribunal in Tehran these last few weeks. He faces the death penalty by hanging for having abandoned Islam and for witnessing of his new found faith to other Muslims. “His wife and family are worried sick” a source close to the family told the Compass agency. “Nobody can predict the outcome of the trial. Hamid refuses to deny Christ. If the tribunal strictly follows the sharia, he will be executed.”
“Despite all efforts made by the authorities to keep this trial in total secrecy, news concerning this apostasy case has been in circulation ever since Hamid Pourmand’s first condemnation by a martial court last February 16th. Most Iranians are now well informed of the trial since it has infiltrated the media via numerous radio and television stations in Farsi as well as on the Internet” an Iranian Christian confirmed.
After being arrested, Hamid Pourmand was confined to an isolation cell for five months, most of it in total darkness. Several times, his prison guards brought him to the execution block, telling him he would be hanged if he did not deny his faith. In order to break him emotionally, the guards did not hesitate to lie by telling him that his wife and two sons had been arrested also and were mistreated because of him.
The Islamic regime in place in Iran twice utilized, in 1988 and in 1990, fabricated accusations to imprison, judge and execute two former Muslims on grounds of treason. Since then, four other protestant church leaders have been assassinated in doubtful circumstances while a dozen more have had to flee the country.
Let us not forget to pray for Hamid Pourmand and his family’s protection.

Christianity or Islam ?
Several days ago, a journalist from Christian radio CBN wrote an article that caught my attention. The following are a few excerpts that I am convinced will interest you.
September 11th drew a lot of attention on the growth of Islam in the world, but experts on the subject omitted to mention the phenomenal explosion of Christianity. In Ghana, Africa alone, there are more Presbyterians than in the nation of Scotland. In Nigeria, there are more Anglicans than in England. Africans rush and run to accept Jesus Christ in their lives. Without exaggeration of any kind, the entire southern hemisphere is presently experiencing a tidal wave, an incredible phenomenon.
Dr. Philip Jenkins, history and religious studies teacher at Penn State University declares that the growth of Christianity is unimaginable. He writes that the biggest movement of this last century is not communism or even capitalism, but Pentecostalism, a movement having taken root by Spirit-filled Christians at the beginning on the 20th century. This movement, originating with a few hundred Christians, has now reached hundreds of millions of believers. If the Lord tarries till 2040, this world will be home to one billion members. Jenkins reminds us that in twenty years, two thirds of all the Christians will be located in Africa, South America and in Asia. In the year 1900, Africa only had 10 million Christians while today, they add up to nearly 360 million, thus representing half the African population.
The Bible is being seriously considered; it is alive in Africa, in Asia and in South America. It is an authority, a lot more than we here living in the west have taken it since our own eyes were opened.
But Christianity threatens Islam, that is why Christians lose their lives. According to Time magazine, there are 80 million Christians in China alone.

Doubt and scepticism are the offsprings of the imagination, this queen, enemy of the mind and of FAITH ! Imagination induces us in error. Even though it remains possible that the imagination produces truth, it usually is false and blinds us from reality. The imagination affects Christians and non-believers alike; it is best we guard ourselves against it like a plague.
Jesus said : “Without Me, you can do nothing.” Let us admit that our feeble human nature is shaken by doubt at any moment. Fortunately, the Holy Spirit comes to our rescue and that His presence helps us believe for the impossible. The entire Bible defies human reasoning; every event, every promise, every verse, from the first verse in Genesis to the last in the Revelation. A CHALLENGE TO YOUR REASONING! An interview featuring Pat Robertson (700 Club) and Evangelist

Imagine for a moment that you are a pastor claiming to serve God but, in a moment’s time, a car accident takes your life. At that very instant, angels carrying you allow you to view both heaven and hell. The worse case scenario, you learn that if God decides to send you back on Earth, YOU WILL SPEND ETERNITY IN HELL. Such is the story of pastor Daniel Ekechukwu from Nigeria, Africa, as he came back from the valley of death while Reinhard Bonnke was preaching.
ROBERTSON : If I get this straight, you have not seen nine million individuals attend your crusades, but nine million decisions for CHRIST !
BONNKE : That’s right ! At the conclusion of five crusades of five days each, from November to March of this current year, we have recorded 9,120,000 decisions by people having filled out a decision card… in 5 months ! Next year, I would like to hold 10 crusades instead of 5 and have 20 instead of 10 million people come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ !
ROBERTSON : Never before had we seen similar crowds ! India was where I saw the single largest mass of people gathered, a total of 1,200,000 – completely incredible !
BONNKE : It was a sea of humanity, impressive and terrifying at the same time.
ROBERTSON : What is God revealing to you in regards to Africa ? I am well award that your calling in for that continent. Nigeria remains the country with the greatest population. The fire of revival is burning there like never before.
BONNKE :Yes, Nigeria has its problems, no one denies that, but there is a spiritual surge. The Christians’ enthusiasm and exuberance is unbelievable. Our backs are not up against the wall, quite the contrary. I would consider it a mighty refreshing wave. An ocean of might and power. JESUS SAVES. We constantly hear of dramatic and unbelievable accounts, like the one involving this man who came back to life.
ROBERTSON : I would love for you to tell me about him. He was in attendance at one of your meetings. He was seriously wounded by a passing car. I have heard he was clinically dead, even rigid. I do not know… had they embalmed him ?
BONNKE : Yes, he was already embalmed.
ROBERTSON : THEY HAD ALREADY EMBALMED HIM ?
BONNKE : He was embalmed but not in the same manner as we embalm the dead here in America where we remove vital organs from the body. In Africa, we inject chemical products which serve to delay the body’s decomposition, since there is no system of refrigeration.
ROBERTSON : And, what happened after that ?
BONNKE : this man’s wife believed this promise God made in Hebrews 11:35 : “BY FAITH WOMEN RECEIVED THEIR DEAD RAISED TO LIFE AGAIN.” So she declared : “My husband will come back to life. I hear that Reinhard Bonnke is in Onitsha this coming Sunday so I will bring him there.” And so she did. I was busy preaching, ignoring all this. Suddenly, the dead man started to breathe again… His story and what he encountered as he stepped into eternity are impressive, terrifying and incredible !
ROBERTSON : Please tell me what he saw.
BONNKE : An angel carried him and showed him Paradise. He showed him the dwelling of the saints (John 14:2). He then showed him hell. This man saw people in hell. One of them cried out : “I was a pastor but I stole money, please help me reimburse this money !” It was so terrifying (The man was seeing himself). The angel then turned towards him and said : “The prayer of the rich man in Luke 16 will now see its fulfillment since you will be returned to Earth to give this generation a last warning.”
ROBERTSON : For those ignorant of this story found in Luke 16 : 27-31, the rich man in tormenting flames lifted his eyes and pleaded, saying : “I pray thee therefore, that thou wouldst send him (Lazarus) to my father’s house, for I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.” Abraham saith unto him : “They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them… if they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” Pastor Daniel says that the one rose from the dead is him.
BONNKE : He has come back to life. People view this video (Raised from the Dead) and are saved by the thousands. Confirmation of this reaches me from all over the world. It has become a powerful evangelism tool and we are so grateful. I was hoping being able to present pastor Daniel to you today.
ROBERTSON : We have tried getting him a visa allowing him to come but such documents are very difficult to obtain in that country. You say then that he has seen the place known as hell. Was there torment and fire ?
BONNKE : He says he did not see fire per se but people practicing cannibalism. Each time, flesh was returned to the same place and the torments resumed; it was horrible. He has returned to tell us “Hell is real, hell is real.” You need to be saved by the blood of Jesus Christ and live a holy life.
ROBERTSON : Allow me to stop at this time, ladies and gentlemen, in order to ask you where you stand with God ? Are you playing games with the Lord or are you really with HIM ?
BONNKE : That’s true ! That’s it, we have to say YES to Jesus and say NO to sin. If not, this YES to Jesus is not valid. We cannot pursue two directions at the same time. If we try, we are only fooling ourselves. It would be terrible, just as this pastor Daniel has witnessed. Say YES to Jesus from within the deepest part of your heart and turn away from evil. REPENT of your sins and receive forgiveness through the blood of Jesus and walk in the path of righteousness… Everyone was blaming himself, no one blaming anyone else. Pastor Daniel told us that no one saw the angel at his side. They were seeing only him and were calling out for help. The angel then turned towards Daniel and said that he would accompany him and that his testimony would spread throughout the entire world. Suddenly, Daniel started breathing normally while in church. He was in the basement while I was preaching on the main floor. In the NAME OF JESUS, this account covered all of Nigeria, Africa and indeed throughout the world.
ROBERTSON : I am certain that this man was not a Bible scholar, but the apostle Paul tells us that our conscience will either accuse us or liberate us on the day of the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, their consciences were their accusers since they were accusing themselves.
BONNKE : Yes, that is indeed what they were doing.
ROBERTSON : Nothing remains hidden now. A pastor had stolen some money, he was a fraud and a hypocrite, he was in hell, crying : “HELP ME !”
BONNKE : Right.
ROBERTSON : Once there, no help is available, they are permanently there.
BONNKE : So it is, therefore, we must not let this opportunity offered us go by unanswered.
ROBERTSON : My God, isn’t that the truth !
BONNKE : There no longer will be a second opportunity in hell.
ROBERTSON : What did he see in heaven ?
BONNKE : He saw saints worshipping. He said that it was o wonderful that he immediately wanted to enter in that place. So, I asked him if he had seen Jesus. He answered me, saying there was a very brilliant white light and every one of these saints, looking in the light’s direction, were worshipping. He then said that he created a shadow over his eyes but yet, he was unable to enter into this light. From there, he was carried towards the heavenly dwellings. Trying to describe their beauty, he simply said : “It’s like, like, like…”
ROBERTSON : He was unable to come up with adequate words ?
BONNKE : He declared that they told him that the mansions were ready but that the saints were not.
ROBERTSON : Did Jesus or someone else give him a warning concerning the Church ? Did he return with a message for those who supposedly live for Christ ?
BONNKE : He had another troubling experience. I did not know this pastor Daniel at all. He said that the angel told him : “If God had not decided to return you to Earth, you would have found yourself with those who are currently in hell.” He was shaking all over.
ROBERTSON : Wasn’t this man a pastor ?
BONNKE : He was a man not living right.
ROBERTSON : An impostor, then ?
BONNKE : He was not walking right, but now he is.
ROBERTSON : My God, it is a much higher plane than the one we are used to here in America where we think of grace has being so easy, making us believe we are good people.
BONNKE : All my television crew responsible for producing this video have told me they were unable to sleep well for three nights and each one has lifted his own personal life to a higher plateau, the one where THE WORD OF GOD is situated. Such a dramatic experience brings about a lot of soul-searching in the heart.
ROBERTSON : Was this man able to give his testimony to this multitude of folks attending your meetings ?
BONNKE : He was in my crusade, it was fantastic. He was also with me in Vienna. At the time my crusade was held, an esoteric convention was also held. When they heard that someone had actually come back from the dead, they said to him : “Could you come and speak to us?” He did go for that purpose, he preached and then gave an altar call and 50 witches came to Christ.
ROBERTSON : Truly amazing ! Do you have a video with you ?
BONNKE : Yes, right here ! RAISED FROM THE DEAD. It’s one step forward, an urgent call to salvation.
ROBERTSON : I greatly am inspired having you with us.
Dear reader friend who have just completed reading this extraordinary account, is your life right with God ? Perhaps your level should be elevated to where God’s Word and its standards are. Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them (John 20 :23)

Jerusalem version of the Bible
This particular verse of Scripture, found in John 20 : 23, is often mentioned by people who doubt the authenticity of our evangelical faith. It is quite evident that not every member belonging to an evangelical church has the ability to explain the meaning of such a Scripture the moment he or she is asked to.
For this reason, I have written the following commentaries using two different versions of the Bible – one being Catholic and the other, Protestant. I sincerely hope that this exposé will allow many who are asked this very question to give satisfactory answers to those who sincerely seek an explanation.
…JESUS SAID UNTO THEM : “Peace be unto you: AS MY FATHER HATH SENT ME, even SO SEND I YOU.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them : “RECEIVE YE THE HOLY GHOST. Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.” (Gospel of John, chapter 20, verses 21-23).
By these words, Jesus gives everyone who believes in Him a MISSION to accomplish, a work to do. “As the Father sends Me, so send I you.”
TO WHOM ARE THESE WORDS GIVEN?
They are not only intended for the apostles but to every disciple, notwithstanding be they man or woman. In other words, they apply to all Christians. In his gospel, St. Luke tells us that where Jesus found Himself as He pronounced these words, “the eleven were gathered together, and them that were with them (Luke 24:33).
We read in St-Mark, chapter 16 : 15-16 – “And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the GOSPEL to every creature. He that BELIEVETH and is BAPTIZED shall be SAVED, but he that believeth not shall be DAMNED.
It is therefore by the PREACHING of the GOSPEL that the sins of those who BELIEVE are remitted while being retained to those who refuse to believe.
The apostle Paul reaffirms the same principle when he declares : “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed ? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard ? and how shall they hear without a preacher ? And how shall they preach, except they be SENT ?” (Romans 10: 13-15). Let us remember that Jesus said He was SENDING US in like manner as the Father sent Him.
Nowhere in the Bible is it mentioned that a man needs to confess his sins to another man in order to receive God’s forgiveness. Quite the contrary ! Read what the apostle Peter said as he preached on the day of Pentecost. “REPENT, and be BAPTIZED every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the REMISSION OF SINS.” (Acts 2:38).
The apostle Peter never once said “Confess your sins to me so that they may be remitted…” but he preached the Gospel to them, telling them they needed to repent. The Bible goes on to say that on that day, 3000 souls were converted. How were their sins remitted ? BY BELIEVING in the good news of the Gospel as preached by Peter.
When the apostle Paul had an encounter with the Lord Jesus on his way to Damascus, he saw a radiant light and he became blind. The Lord sent a disciple by the name of Ananias his way in order to pray for Paul. Ananias told him : “Brother Saul, receive thy sight ! The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will. And now, why tarriest thou ? Arise, and be BAPTIZED, and WASH AWAY THY SINS, calling on the name of the Lord. (Acts 22 : 13-16).
Ananias did not tell Paul that he had to confess his sins to him in order to receive forgiveness , but to CALL UPON the name of the Lord Jesus to be WASHED from his sins.
JESUS Himself told the apostle Paul on the road to Damascus: “I have appeared unto thee… to make thee a minister and a witness… delivering thee from the people and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they MAY RECEIVE FORGIVNESS OF SINS BY FAITH THAT IS IN ME (Acts 26 : 16-18).
John tells us, in his first epistle ( ch. 1 : 7) : If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to FORGIVE US OUR SINS, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
The conclusion is : the sins are remitted to whom ever you remit them… meaning, to whom you preach the Gospel and will believe in this Good News, and they shall be retained to whom ever refuses to believe.
AND WHAT EXACTLY IS THIS GOOD NEWS ?
It is that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” (1 Timothy 1 : 15).
Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, by receiving by faith the remission for his sins.
The apostle Paul tells us : “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:23).
Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand (Romans 5: 1-2).
For by grace are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2 : 8-9).
Are you ready to accept this GIFT of God which is eternal life ? Would you like to know once and for all that your sins are washed in His precious blood and that you are ready to face eternity ? CONFESS the name of Jesus.
Confess your sins unto Him and by FAITH, you shall receive this PEACE from God that men are unable to give. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not on the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him (John 3:36).
